Begin your two-day adventure with a car transfer from Hanoi to Halong bay where you either take a cruising boat or a shuttle ferry to get Cat Ba island. Those traveling on budget can take public shuttle bus departing from Luong Yen bus station. The hiking adventure starts as you walk from Cat Ba national park entrance, through the park, jungle forest to Viet Hai village, located on a valley. You follow a small hiking trail that is available only during the dry season.
